Abstract

In the current era of digital communication, teachers are not only required to deliver lesson material but also be able to manage learning resources to support and facilitate learning activities. The development of webtoon-based Arabic Qira'ah learning media aims to: (1) describe the process of developing webtoon-based Arabic language learning media products; (2) know the suitability of the product to be used as a Qira'ah learning medium; and (3) know the user's response to the Arabic Qira'ah learning media. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE development design. The test subjects for this research and development were material and language experts, media experts, and students of Muhammadiyah 1 Malang Middle School. Data collection uses a questionnaire. The results of the research show: (1) the teaching medium for learning Arabic Qira'ah is composed of pictures, dialogue, and a list of mufrodat; (2) this webtoon-based teaching medium was declared feasible by material and media experts based on the results of a material validation percentage of 92%, a media validation percentage of 88%, and a user response percentage to the media of 87.28%. The percentage value is above average and is stated to be very suitable to be used as an alternative learning medium for Arabic Qira'ah.
