Abstract

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is the voluntary behavior of individuals in organizations without formal rewards to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Meanwhile, Organizational Commitment (OC) is the level of identification, involvement and loyalty of individuals in an organization where they work. Employees who are emotionally attached to an organization and feel a moral and ethical obligation to remain in it are likely to engage in voluntary behavior that benefits the organization. This research aims to find out whether there is an influence of Organizational Commitment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior in employees. This research uses an accidental sampling technique. The research samples were 207 people aged 20 – 35 working for approximately one year. The questionnaires used are the OC questionnaire and the OCB questionnaire by Organ (2006). The results of this research show a regression coefficient (β) of 0.707 with a significance value (p) of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is an influence of Organizational Commitment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior in employees. This finding is consistent with previous research, confirming that OC is an essential predictor of OC behavior.
