Abstract

Background Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disorder of the pancreatic endocrine, characterized by hyperglycemia caused by relative or absolute insulin deficiency or by cellular resistance to insulin action, increased blood glucose levels and glucosuria as a result of metabolic disorders accompanied by the body's inability to metabolize glucose, fat and protein as a result of deficiency or insulin resistance. This condition causes an increase in plasma glucose concentration.
Method In this case study, the researcher used data collection techniques by interviewing, observing, and studying documents (medical records). The interview is a means of re-checking or proving information or information previously obtained.
Result In this study, nursing diagnoses were obtained, namely: Instability of Blood Glucose Levels
B.D Hyperglycemia (D.0027), Risk of Infection as evidenced by Chronic Disease (D.142), Acute pain b.d physiological injury agents (inflammation) (D.0077).
Discussion from this study shows the treatment of diabetic foot wounds.
