LAYANAN SOSIAL DINAS PEMBERDAYAAN PEREMPUAN DAN PERLINDUNGAN ANAK (DP3A) TERHADAP KORBAN CHILD GROOMING DI KABUPATEN MALANG

Children as investments and the nation's next generation are valuable assets for future civilization. However, children often become victims of violence and exploitation, especially in cases of sexual abuse. This research details the background of the problem that explains the prevalence of violence against children, especially in the form of sexual abuse, which is a concern in Indonesia. In 2021, the Indonesian Child Protection Commission recorded 2,982 cases of complaints related to child protection cases, including 536 cases of children being victims of violence. Acts of sexual abuse against children have serious impacts on children's welfare, including emotional problems, depression, and decreased school performance. One of the new modes of sexual abuse against children that is in the spotlight is grooming carried out via social media. Government institutions such as the Malang Regency Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service (DP3A) play an important role in helping and protecting victims of violence against children, including that which occurs through grooming. This research aims to explain the implementation of Malang Regency DP3A assistance to children who are victims of grooming and the factors that influence the process of providing assistance. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The results showed that victim assistance is one of the main functions of the services provided by the Women and Child Protection (PPA) assistant which is carried out directly to each individual who is a service beneficiary. The assistance applied by UPT PPA DP3A in Malang Regency to victims of child grooming is shelter or safe house, psychological assistance, and rehabilitation. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide better insight into child protection efforts in facing new challenges such as child care.
