Regulated Learning Stategies in Increasing the Independence of Santri at the Al�Mizan Muhammadiyah Lamongan Islamic Boarding School. Supervisor (1) Dr.

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Self regulated
Learning strategy in increasing the independence of santri at the Al-Mizan
Muhammadiyah Lamongan Isalminc Boarding School. This research uses a
quantitative experimental approach. The population in this study were santri at the
Al-Mizan Muhammadiyah Lamongan Islamic Boarding School. The sample in the
research is class X santri who were selected using a non-probability sampling
technique. Data collection method in this research used observation, questionnaires,
and tests (pretest and posttest). Based on research that has been carried out, the
condition of santri before implementing the Self Regulated Learning strategy is
stated to be less independent. Then after implementing the Self Regulated Learning
strategy, santris learning independence increased. This can be see from the average
pretest scrore of 55,80 and posttest of 75,40. The effectiveness test results obtained
a results of 44,3438 in the quite effective category according to the Gain
Effectiveness Interpretation table. Thus, researchers draw the conclusing that the
use of the Self Regulated learning strategy is quite effective in increasing the
independence of santri at the Al-Mizan Muhammadiyah Lamongan Boarding
School
