This research aims to describe the implementation of the principal's interpersonal communication in motivating teachers' work. The approach used in this research is qualitative, and the research type is descriptive qualitative. The subjects involved in this research are the principal and teachers at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Kutorejo. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research show that the implementation of interpersonal communication in enhancing teachers' work motivation is quite good. The principal communicates with the teachers through both formal and informal communication. In motivating teachers, the principal applies the principles of interpersonal communication effectiveness, including openness, empathy, positive attitude, support, and equality in continuous and consistent communication with the teachers. Here are some recommendations to optimize the implementation of the principal's interpersonal communication in motivating teachers' work at the school. First, attention to students with special needs should be enhanced to assist teachers in their work. Second, teachers should provide regular updates on students with special needs to the principal to prevent delays in addressing their issues. Third, teachers and all stakeholders should actively support the principal in improving interpersonal communication among individuals within the school environment, aiming to create a better and more conducive school atmosphere.
