Abstract

Abstract. The development of technology and the availability of better internet access make online gaming a practical choice of entertainment. Mobile Legends: Bang-Bang is a very popular online game for providing exciting virtual items. But it can encourage a person to be narcissistic and consumer. This research aims to find out the microtransactions on the behavior of the game Mobile Legends: Bang-Bang in the Putra district of Northern Borneo Nunukan district in Malang City. This research uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study. For semi-structured interview data collection methods and documentation. Characteristic of the subjects in this study are early adult players of the online game Mobile Legends: Bang-Bang who perform microtransactions with a minimum transaction of three hundred thousand rupees to millions. Sampling techniques using purposive sampling. The results of the research showed the impact of microtransactions on gaming addiction behavior, which is narcissistic and consumer behaviour, in addition to the presence of positive and negative emotions, the impact on health and interpersonal conflict with others.
