Abstract

MyUMM Student is a mobile application owned by Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang and developed by the Information and Communication Bureau (INFOKOM). The app is designed for students to access information related to their studies, such as Financial Information, Academic Transcript (KHS), Transcripts, Class Schedules, etc. However, there were some crucial features missing in the application. Therefore, after discussions between users and developers, it was agreed that the design of notification features and faculty evaluation were needed in the MyUMM Student app. This paper presents a practical case study, illustrating the user interface design for the MyUMM Student application using the Lean UX method. The research involved two iterations of Lean UX, each comprising three stages: think, design, and test. The Lean UX method was chosen for its ability to facilitate rapid product development using minimal resources. The final evaluation was conducted using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) involving 36 students as respondents. The test results indicated an "Excellent" score for attractiveness, precision, and stimulation, as well as a "Good" score for clarity, efficiency, and novelty. This signifies that the user interface for the Notification and Faculty Evaluation features aligns with user needs and desires.
