Abstract

This research was conducted in Fishery indoor laboratory, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, East Java, on February 2008 to March 2008. The research are purposed to find out the effect of adding Aloe vera flour to Cyprinus carpio’s thrombosis phagocitosis activities and get the ideal Aloe vera four dosage in the woof in which may give the best phagocitosis activity. The method used was experimental method with four different treatments; the A treatment (dosage of 0 gram/kg woof), B treatment (dosage of 5 gram/kg woof), C treatment (dosage of 10 gram/kg woof) and D treatment (15 gram/kg woof) with three replications using Complete Random Design (CDR) as the research model. Anava was used to analyze the data; if F give a significant effect or a very significant effect, so that it would be continued to the Least of significant difference (LSD). The result indicated that the adding of Aloe vera flour gave significant effect to Cyprinus carpio thrombosis phagocitosis activity, where the highest activity was gotten in the C treatment (dosage of 10 gram/kg woof) which was 52%. The correlation between the different dosage through phagocitosis activity created quadratic curve Y = -0,017X2 + 1,8188X + 32,588 dan R2 = 0,8604. The adding of Aloe vera did not give any effect to the growth of Cyprinus carpio. The water quality measurement during the experiment showed normal intervals; temperature range betwin 23,8°C - 24°C, and pH 6,07 – 7,15 with DO 6,07 – 7,15 mg/l. It can be concluded that the adding of Aloe vera in the woof gives significant effect to fagots activities (C treatment with dosage of 10 gr/kg woof) and it does not give any effect to Cyprinus carpio growth.
