Abstract

ABSTRACT Working in an electrics installation company might have a big risk and be dangerous. Accident cases at works that often happen to day-pay workers at Electrics Installation Developers company proves that day-pay workers’ rights need to be protected and fulfilled. The problems of this study are; 1. how is the implementation of Jamsostek program of social insurance of CV. Semeru’s day-pay workers’ rights when they get an accident at work?, 2. What are the supporting factors which make day-pay workers to be included at social insurance program? This study uses sociologic juridical approach. The data collection was by interviewing the respondents (sample) from the CV. Sinar Semeru’s day-pay workers and staff. The researcher also interviewed some people from PT. Jamsostek Malang as the supporting data. There are also some pictures taken related to the research. The data analysis is using qualitative descriptive method. Related to the discussion and data analysis, CV. Sinar Semeru always registers their project which is supported by APBD to the social insurance program, Jamsostek, so that automatically all the workers involved are protected by the program. In case there is an accident happens to the workers, CV. Sinar Semeru will handle it first and support the medical expenses then the company claims to PT. Jamsostek. The policy taken above is based on the applicable laws and employers and workers’ sense of justice. In conclusion, the implementation of Jamsostek program of social insurance to the day-pay worker rights at CV. Sinar Semeru is appropriate to the laws. The supporting factors of the day-pay workers inclusion to the Jamsostek program are based on the laws effectiveness, employers’ awareness and workers’ demands. Last for the suggestion, it is necessary to have rules which give hard penalty for the violation happens.
