This research is quantitative research that aims to determine the relationship between participative leadership style with employee morale. One factor that can support the work of moral formation of man apart from leadership in itself is implemented by the leadership. In this case the Hotel Wisma Patra, according to its function in the field of services is expected to provide the best services, in order to survive in the competition is very ketat.Untuk improve employee morale hotel implements participatory leadership between leaders and employees where no coordination or cooperation in complete a job or problem. The hypothesis is the relationship between participative leadership style with employee morale The subjects in this study were employees Wisma Patra Hotel Balikpapan. The research subject was taken through a total sampling techniques and methods of data collection using a scale, namely (1) participative leadership scale, (2) morale scale. Analyzing data using product moment correlation technique and the computer program SPSS (Statistics Programme For Social Science) version 13.0. From the results of this study concluded that there is a positive and highly significant between participative leadership with a moral work, with a correlation coefficient (r) = 0.521 and opportunities for error (P) = 0.000. This means that the higher the higher the participative leadership morale owned by the employee and the effective contribution of participative leadership variable with variable morale, which is equal to 27.1%. This means that the variable participative leadership has an effective contribution to the morale variable at 27.15 the rest are other factors not studied that affect employee morale.
