Middle East women movement has different type in every state, some of women movement come from below and some of women movement come from above. Women movement in the Middle East, especially women movement in Saudi Arabia becomes interesting to discuss, because the government of Saudi Arabia is very unique. Until recent time, the women movement in the Middle East becomes such a common phenomenon, but in contrary, the women movement in Saudi Arabia is a new matter, because the struggle of women movement in Saudi Arabia is facing the tyranny of the state. The aim of this research is to show that women in Saudi Arabia are still struggled to get the same rights as the women in other country, especially in the Middle East, and it still gets many challenges from the government. The research’s method puts the women movement of Saudi Arabia as a unit of analysis and women movement of the Middle East as an explanation unit. This research based on the information’s which are collected between King Fadh’s period to King Abdullah period, exactly in the middle of 2009. The influences of the women movement in the Middle East to Saudi Arabia will be analyzed by using the concept of Global Civil Society. Finally, the women movement in the Middle East is not only influenced by global civil society, but also the other factors. The main result shows that the women in Saudi Arabia struggle their freedom in every part of their life, in social, law, economic, and culture, although the government is very conservative.
