Abstract

The quality of roads is good, if it can provide a sense of security and convenience to road users. Road conditions can create a sense of security and comfort can not be separated from the use of pavement condition. Asphalt concrete is one type of flexible pavement layer. In the implementation of asphalt concrete was made in hot conditions (hot mix), both at the stage of mixing, penghamparan and compacting stage performed at a given temperature. Inspection of asphalt include: penetration, softening point, ductility. While aggregrat examination include: specific gravity and absorption aggregrat, aggregrat sieving. Test object inspection optimum asphalt content is divided into 5 variation was 5.6%, 6.6%, 7.6%, 8.6% and 9.6%, where each group is made of three different samples with their weight - 1200 grams respectively . Obtained optimum asphalt content 6.9%. The specimens for optimum binder with additional material prepared by compaction temperature variation of 130 ° C, 120 ° C, 110 ° C, 100 ° C, 90 ° C and 80 ° C while the variation of latex content of 0%, 1%, 3%, 5 %, and 7%. Resulting in unused latex content of 5%. From the research results can be seen that the reduction will result in lower compaction temperature stability, Marshall Quotient for all levels of latex. For the Flow at compaction temperature 130 ° C - 80 ° C showed an increase at 3%, 5% and 7% latex, medium to 1% latex at a temperature of 130 ° C - 80 ° C a decline. And for the air cavity increases with decreasing temperature compaction.
