Abstract

This research discusses the role of Oman in handling the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, which is prolonged due to the conflict between the Houthis and the Yemeni government. In this case, Oman handles the humanitarian crisis in Yemen by trying to resolve the conflict there. The concepts used in this research are the Concept of Diplomacy and the Concept of Humanitarian Assistance to see Oman's role as a mediator and in conducting negotiations and humanitarian assistance provided for Yemen. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative analysis technique. The data in this research is collected through literature study from books, journals, articles, and official websites. The results of this study show that Oman's role as a mediator has not found an agreement between the conflicting parties. Oman also negotiates the release of hostages and the extension of the ceasefire agreement and also Oman is committed to providing humanitarian assistance to Yemen.
