Abstract

Human movement occurs because of the process of fulfilling the need for education, employment, shopping, visiting and other needs that are located in different locations, whether it is done routinely every day or not. Facilities and infrastructure to support the movement of population is the main passenger vehicle and the road network. Provision of public transport movements associated with the destination location. For the city of Jember At this time for public land transport in the city is served by public transportation, rural transportation, taxis, city buses with the main component is the public transportation. To compensate for the mobility of people in the town of Jember active it needs a good public transportation services within the meaning of the performance of urban transport can meet the demand. Evaluation study was conducted by using a method that refers to the book Directorate General of Land Transportation, with the parameters of the load factor, headway, frequency and speed. Conclusion The results of the evaluation is the average load factor at busy transit town of Jember line D 103%, lane E 93.35% and 83.35% G path, the average headway line D 3174 min, lane E 3034 minutes and 2522 minutes, while the G line is obtained The average frequency of line D 19 vehicles / hour, point E 20 vehicles per hour and transportation lane G 24 vehicles / hour, and obtained a minimum average speed of all freight is 22 km / h at point E and 22 km / h lane G and a maximum of 24 km / h at point D. From the survey results point D travel time 100 minutes, point E and point G 90 minutes 100 minutes,then the necessary to point D fleet reduction was a reduction of 4 vehicles , laneE was a reduction of 2 vehicles , laneG was a reduction of two vehicles.
