Abstract

‘Eceng Gondok’ was still considered as troubled weeds plant, since the growth was so fast and in 3-4 months able to cover more than 70% water surface. Eceng gondok wall is an artificial wall pieces made from water hyacinth stems are processed so that the fibers obtained with cement and glue as the adhesive. By comparison the composition of the mixed water hyacinth: Glue PVAc: Cement in the amount of 1: 1: 2.5 testing conducted for 4 days x 24 hours. Tests conducted on the prototype wall temperature and humidity testing against the wall with a ratio of water hyacinth on the prototype brick wall with the same means test. From the test results and calculations can be found influence on temperature and humidity whereas for the highest temperature at the brick wall of 32 ° C at 14:00 hours, while eceng gongok wall for 31 ° C at 14:00 hours. while the lowest temperature for the brick wall of 21 ° C at 05.00 hours, the Eceng gondok wall 21 ° C at 05.00 hours, while the highest value for the humidity in the brick wall at 95% at 23:00 hours, while eceng gondok wall for 93% at 23:00 hours. whereas the lowest humidity to a brick wall at 62% at 14:00, 83% eceng gondok wall at 17:00 hours. for eceng gondok itself the humidity constant value / almost as though the temperature change in the eceng gondok but always lies between 80% - 90% eceng gondok thus hardly comfortable.
