Abstract

Palangkaraya - Buntok Street has a lot of important service for the society in center Borneo. The pavement of the street especially at sta.17+000-22+000 has been damage and its cause by subgrade condition which has low bearing capacity. Subgrade rehabilitation by giving preloading, vertical drain and geotextile will suggest to overcome this problem. Preloading is an effective way to accelerate consolidation of soft soil by giving embankment as initial burden. Like preloading, vertical drain also has function to accelerate consolidation by flow the pore water vertically, so the pore water could be go off through vertical drain pipe. Meanwhile geotextile could improve soil bearing capacity under the embankment and make this embankment more stable. Analysis result show that its need 5,00 meter height for initial embankment so that will be suitable with height embankment planning (2,50 meter). PVD will be set until 18 meter depth with 1 meter space between each of it. Geotextile which has 100 ton/meter for ultimate tensile strength was chosen for soil strengthening and its need 1 layer of geotextile.
