Research on the "Review Variety Indonesian Language in News Coverage 6 SCTV, motivated by the phenomenon of the use of variety of language used by speakers or presenters at the coverage 6 SCTV. Based on the variety of language usage tesebut, then found a specific and unique language and characteristics that are used by speakers or presenters. The diversity of language is what often gives multiple information and many interpretations. For that study specifically required that the diversity of languages used by the speakers especially presenters and reporters. Language in use is not merely verbal, but is written. In the world of newspapers both from electronic media such as television, radio, and in magazines, each medium has a specific language. This makes the speakers or listeners in general to think hard to use the language used. The purpose of this study was to describe (1) variety of language viewed from various standard and non-standard varieties, (2) variety of language viewed from the subject matter contained in news coverage of 6 SCTV. As the foundation of this research study, dibahasan theoretical framework that emphasizes the theory of speaking at various Indonesian language in oral form. The main points more description refers to the variety of language based on the terms of formality include: variety of standard and non-standard variety, the variety on the basis of subject matter includes: the political, economic, legal or criminal, which used a presenter and reporter. This research method is qualitative. Being the data used is a variety of Indonesian language in the coverage 6 SCTV, the range of standard and non-standard. While the data source used is about the news of politics, economics and law in the news coverage of 6 SCTV. As for some of the techniques in this study were (1) data collection techniques that include: engineering and technical records note, (2) data processing techniques include: the classification of data, data coding, and penginterprestasian data. The results showed some Indonesian varieties that include: (1) Indonesian varieties viewed from various standard and non-standard, (2) various Indonesian views of the subject matter of the political, economic, or criminal law contained in the news coverage 6 SCTV. Of the second variety, the variety of language based on whether or not direct meaning predominantly used. Regional variations in terms of formality that is often used variety of speakers is standard, as well as non-standard variety of relatively little use, while the diversity of languages of the subject matter that is often used by speakers of the political field in conveying information.
