Abstract

Forest is one of the natural resources that are fundamental for the lot and being able to improve the welfare and economic life of society, especially who live around the forest. In this case, forests serve as natural attractions, but in development must consider the balance of natural ecosystems. For if one in its management can lead to disaster and destruction of natural ecosystems that are not balanced. In approximately February 2002 and has found a cave that is located in forested areas where the entry in forest management in Bojonegoro Parengan KPH. Because it was difficult to reach because it was deep in the forest and the road to cave very small. In addition, there is no wide publicity to be a challenge separately for PR Perhutani Parengan to development efforts in the future. For this reason then the researchers wanted to know what public relations activities in Perhutani Parengan development of natural tourist cave Princess Asih it. This becomes interesting because as we know that Perhutanioffice is an institution engaged in forest management and not for the problems of tourism. In an effort to develop the cave Princess Asih there are some activities undertaken by the PR. Public relations activities undertaken include the following stages: 1) the discovery of facts (fact finding) as a fact-finding stage on the field; 2) planning (planning) is a process preparation programs or activities that are grounded in data or facts on the ground; 3) Communication (communication) is an attempt to convey or distribute message to the public with a particular form of communication or media, 4) Evaluation (Evaluation) as an activity to assess or evaluate the performance of companies has been achieved in terms of both quality and quantity. The research method used is survey method. In this case the researcher wants focus intensively on one specific object by using the approach because qualitative researchers tend to be attracted to conduct research on natural background or in the context of a whole (entity). This type of research used the researcher is descriptive because in solving a research problem through the depiction of or describe the state of the object based on the facts. As for the source data research is Adjunct Chief of the General Forestry Engineering (KTKU), KepalaAsisten Technics (Astek), Building and Installation, Planning Kaur, Kaur PR, public relations executive staff and Head of Production. Further research using the interview instrument and documentation. While the qualitative data analysis using descriptive, this is done for describe in detail about a particular social phenomenon. Based on the formulation of the problem and research results, the conclusion can be drawn follows: all development activities are not fully addressed by the PR but assisted by other departments such as electrical installation and the stairs inside the cave, conducted data search continually / continuously for the making of the plan can be tailored to changes that occur either society or the environment associated with forest. Planning done carefully by considering the conditions of society and the forest environment. Communication carried out with related parties for what the company wants to realized by not harm others. While the evaluation done in order to known to what extent these activities carried out and for any problems / obstacles to look for a solution so as not to hamper the development process. As for suggestions that recommended by the researchers is to increase the public relations personnel and improved quality PR especially in terms of tourism because it did not rule out a time will face the same thing.
