Abstract

The problem of unemployment faced by Indonesian annually has its increment. High education with strata grade or even diploma usually prepares its college students to have work in formal sector. They are more prepared to have work than create workplace. To solve the phenomenon above is that, one of them is by having business. Entrepreneurship can create a business and can utilize available sources. A college student, he or she is as one element of society that can be said to have sufficient knowledge to be one who is able to understand market need and society. Furthermore, they can know directly, what society need and it is not impossible thing that college students have opportunity to be Entrepreneur. For that reason, the writer is interested to investigate “Entrepreneurship interest among college students”. This study is quantitative descriptive. This study is aimed to know how Entrepreneurship interest among college students is. Therefore, technique of analysis that is used in this study is T-score by significant study uses Chi-Square technique. Meanwhile, data collection method in this study is by using scale. Sample in this study is economic students from management Department University of Brawijaya for about 100 students. Before having investigation, previously the researcher gives try out. The result, scale of Entrepreneurship interest is 44 items valid from 50 items present. From the result of investigation shows there are no valuable differences (significant) among students toward Entrepreneurship. It is associated with value result of Chi-Square for about (χ2e = 0.64 <χ2t 5 % = 3,84 <χ2t 1 % = 6,635). By the result of the number for 46% students that have Entrepreneurship are high. While, 54% students, Entrepreneurship interest is in low level.
