Abstract

Companies in recruiting employees based not only on IQ but also EQ. EQ is emotional kecerdsan in which someone will have the ability to cultivate self-awareness, the ability to regulate themselves, the ability to motivate, ability to empathize and the ability to build social skills. CV. Avia Plastics is one of the companies that apply the analysis of emotional intelligence to recruit manpower. Based on the description above, the researchers took the title "THE EFFECT OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON THE PERFORMANCE OF EMPLOYEES CV. Avia PLASTICS - MOJOKERTO ". The purpose of this study are 1) To know how emotional kecerdsan component consisting of self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills that exist on the CV. Avia Plastics 2) To know how the employee's performance CV. Avia Plastics 3) To determine the effect of emotional intelligence variables on the performance of employees and 4) To know which variables in emotional intelligence the most influence on employee performance. The hypothesis in this study were 1) estimated the components of emotional intelligence that consists of self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills affect the performance of employees 2) Suspected self-awareness is the most influential variables on the performance of employees. The population in this study were all employees of the production of some 44 people and all members of the sampled population with. Analyzer Scale Range analysis and multiple regression analysis. Result analysis of the range scale shows the average value for a high emotional intelligence, which means employees have the ability to cultivate self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills. For the dependent variable yield performance of high average value, mean that employees have emotional intelligence mempu affect employee performance as measured by the quality, quantity and timeliness. Results of multiple regression analysis showed all variables have a significant effect of emotional intelligence on the performance of employees with a yield calculated F value> F table that is 20 341> 2:45. Tests show that all partially emotional intelligence variables affect the performance of employees. T test calculation is known that the largest value of t test is the empathy variables 3103. It is proved that empathy is a variable in the variable of emotional intelligence the most influence on employee performance. To see the strong relationship demonstrated the value of R for 0853 or 85.3%, that the relationship between components of emotional intelligence and a strong performance by over 50%. To determine the overall effect between the components of emotional intelligence and performance viewed from the resulting R Square value is 0728 or 72.8%. This means that emotional intelligence affects the performance of 72.8% and the remaining 02.27% influenced by other variables beyond emotional intelligence
