Abstract

Keywords: PERCEPTION OF STUDENTS, THE CONTENTS OF MESSAGES, PRESS RADIO The variety show on Radio having an impact for students, either positive and negative impacts. Number of options ranging from entertainment events, information and education, students of journalism more quickly and easily obtain information, especially the women by listening to the radio. Despite the existence of Kosmonita FM radio is assumed to be an obsession for giving treats other programs through the show, but now can assured his audience audiences have different feelings or attitudes to the message received. From there the author wants to know how students' perceptions of the content of radio broadcasts messages that women bersegmentasi (Kosmonita FM). The purpose of this study was to determine the content of a broadcast message acceptance and meaning of a message, and to get a view of students' perceptions of the content of the radio broadcast messages. The population of this study are all students of Faculty of Social Science Department Force Communications Journalism Concentration, 2001 and 2002 with the number 122 students. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Purposive sampling of the view that certain individuals who can represent (In the opinion of the researchers themselves) and also based on the theory put forward by Winarno Surahmad. These characteristics are students FISIP concentration 2001-2002 journalistic force that is still active in college, students jurnalitik female ever listened to radio broadcasts, students aged 21 years and over who were in college, on the grounds at this age a student have the ability to think and behave more perfect reality of environment. The sample in this study amounted to 40 students. The method used is descriptive research that is directed qualitative to explore, identify and understand the meaning and reception of messages by students. Data collection technique is to use a questionnaire, interview as secondary data, and documentation. The results showed that the social message as much as 70% and contains information or news as much as 65% of the much-loved and consumed or heard by the student. From the data results of these studies can be concluded that students' perceptions of the content of a radio broadcast message is as a positive development both for the students
