Social adaptation for deaf people is not an easy things. Hearing sense is a vital sense, especially for children in getting information to recognize environment around them. It is very affected on their growth, learning process, and adaptation, both on theirselves and their social environment. Deafness impact makes children hard to improve their potential and to learn optimally. It needs intensively counselling and emotional support and also a larger acceptance from their social environment. This research has purposed to know how the social adaptation of deaf people at the end of schoolage and what condition supporting and hindering social adaptation of deaf people at the end of schoolage. This research uses qualitative method and 4-part deaf children as the research subject. Data collecting method is interview and observation. Data analysis technique is by reviewing the result of preliminary note, further it is drawn a conclusion from the informants’ and research subjects’ answers. The research result shows that the deaf people tend to show aggression attitude because of dissatisfaction on their attitude in social environment. It also supported by apathetic and withdrawn from their social environment. It is relevant to the theory of condition affecting social adaptation of deaf people at the end of schoolage. Thus, it is suggested that intensive conselling and emotional support should be given and social acceptance in their environment should be improved in order to make better social adaptation of deaf children.
