Abstract

Recently, MTsN Malang 1 is applying a new system in teaching and learning process called moving class that is matched to its vision and mission. Through moving class as the educational system, students should come to where the teacher is, all classrooms are expected to be laboratory related to subjects like PPKN, Indonesia, mathematic, English, geology, and economy and there is no limitation for students to decorate the class with wise words, pictures of scient ist etc. The researcher wants to know further about moving class so he conducts research about the study of the first year students’ perceptions on moving class at MTsN Malang 1. He hopes to the headmaster in order to fulfill the facilities in each class for improvement of the students’ achievement. The writer uses descriptive qualitative as a research design. The population of the study is the first year students of MTsN Malang 1 because they need more time to accustomed to a new situation. He takes four students in each class because the students are placed into classes based on their ability. The writer has two methods to get the data those are observation and questionnaire. He needs more than one month to get the data, during and after practice teaching. The researcher got the result of the research from both observation and questionnaire taken from students, most of them were satisfied with moving class and there was nothing wrong with it. The availability of teaching media helped the students much for their achievement. Therefore, the writer really amazed with the result of the finding and hoped that moving class will be applied in all the schools in Malang. The researcher hopes to all the teachers to always listen to the pupils and to make innovation to create their class alive.
