The presence of newspapers as a medium of information is a form of information revolution, the letter news is a form of print media that can disseminate information quickly to society before the discovery of electronic media. Basically Newspapers have several functions, one of which is a function of information, the message delivered to community may soon touch the stimulation of society which can ultimately influence thought and behavior patterns of society. DeVito (1997, 508) could say, basically any communication media both print and electronic media directed directly to the audience and bombard the target audience as with all stimulation of their sensory organs. Lately our society quite an uproar against fingerprint capture students who daily preached Java Post, even this much response by political elites, community leaders, political figures, and all elements of society. Many pros and cons of the action taken by the government and police officials, one one element of society who oppose tintakan are students, this may be due to considered as a group of religious students who feel suspected of various acts of terrorism in the country us. Formulation of the problem to be discussed in this research is: How does the perception of students Daily news about Java Post about taking fingerprints students. In this study It uses the theory of SOR (stimulusorganismrespon). According to this theory the effect posed is a reaction to the stimulus so that one can expect and estimate the suitability between message and communicant reaction, which was subsequently accepted and processed so as to make them for berpersepsi and changed the attitude of the stimulus accepted. This study used survey research methods and types of descriptive research by using quantitative approach. In this study, the population is as much 315ri people, whereas in researchers determine the sample using purposive sampling technique, obtained by 25 people who meet the criteria to be used as research samples. For collection techniques used questionnaire data as a means of leverage the primary data. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis using the formula Mean. And after analyzed results are obtained a mean of 70.7 of the total 25 respondents answer through a questionnaire, referring to the table guide interpretation of respondents are in the positive area. It can be concluded that the boarding school students gave positive responses Daily news about Java Post about taking fingerprints students. This means respondents receive daily news with the good Java Post about taking fingerprints students. In connection with this research so that later can be beneficial, the researchers provide advice to the Daily Post for Java has always positioned as a mass media discourse-neutral information, so any preaching can be accepted by anyone who read it.
