Abstract

Do this kind of research is the survey research, where researchers conduct research in Malang Regency which is located Jalan Merdeka Timur 3 Malang with the title "The Influence of Leadership Style on Employee Performance (Studies in Malang Regency Government." The purpose of this study was to determine the leadership styles (directing , guiding, supporting and delegating), and the performance of Malang Regency Government employees and to determine the influence of situational leadership styles (directing, guiding, supporting and delegating) on ​​the performance of Malang Regency Government employees. Its used to be achieved especially for the agency is as positive feedback for leaders to establish an appropriate leadership style to be applied in Malang Regency. Based on the calculation of average scale range of leadership styles and behaviors related behavioral tasks in Malang Regency Government included in the high category. The analysis results can be seen that the variable performance of employees in government Malang regency in the category of high, which means that the employees in a work capable of improving the performance in accordance with the conditions set. From the analysis it can be seen that the leadership style that includes behavioral task and relationship behaviors jointly have a significant impact on employee performance Government of Malang Regency. The suggestion that proposed in this study is expected that corporate leaders are expected to always provide guidance to employees so they can work optimally in the company, the policy is carried out in order to control the activities of the employees so that they can work according to regulations. It is expected that the leadership agencies are always trying to provide support for the activities undertaken by employees. The support of those problems by always willing to offer assistance both technical and nontechnical if there are employees who have difficulty in carrying out its duties.
