Interest development to opposite sex (heterosexuality) follows a certain pattern, where it is very influential in individual sexual maturation. Moreover, sexual intercourse pre-marriage is considered to be “right” if the concerned persons are mutually in love and engaged. Whereas, those behaviors is obviously in contradiction with religion lesson. In present love affair activity, biological drive likes to get channelization, so it will be very hard to be controlled. Thus, it will be hard to difference which affection expression and passion is. If they cannot control their selves, hence love affair activity will plunge them into behavior against the social and religion norms in society. This research is correlation research between religious awareness with love affair perception. The purpose is to know the correlation between religious awareness with love affair perception. Therefore, analysis technique used in this research is product moment correlation. While its data collecting technique uses scale. Population and sample of this research is medico of Muhammadiyah University of Malang generation 2007-2008. The number of population is 217 respondents and 43 respondents as the sample. From the research result, it is obtained correlation coefficient r = -0.331 and p = 0.030. It means that there is significant negative correlation between religious awareness with love affair perception. In other words, the higher variable score of religious awareness, variable score of love affair perception will tend to negative. So do its reverse, the lower variable score of religious awareness, variable score for love affair perception will tend to positive. Religious awareness give effective contribution on determinant coefficient of r2 = 0.110 (11%) to love affair perception, while it remains of 89% is affecting by other variable.
