Abstract

Skill writes poem need to do inculcate to student in junior high school, so that they have appreciation ability of poem to carefully. Appreciation a poem do not merely addressed for carrying out and poem understanding, but having an effect on sharpening to feeling sensitivity, common sense, and sensitivity of child of to humanity problems. The ability determined by some important factors in process of study writes poem. Besides model applying, correct method and strategy, also a real determines is role of teacher in process of study to student. This research aim to: 1) Knows ability to write student poem class VII SMPN 5 Pasuruan, 2) Knows execution of study to write poem by using imaginative study method at student class VII SMPN 5 Pasuruan, 3) Knows execution of study by using imaginative method can increase ability to write poem at student class VII SMPN 5 Pasuruan This research is action research (action research), because research of action done to solve problem study in class. Population is overall of object which in checking (Notoatmodjo, 2002). Population in this research is all class students VII SMPN 5 Pasuruan that amounts to 38. Sample is some of population that the characteristic will be checked and assumed can represent from overall of population (Arikunto, 1998: 107). In this research, the sample is all students at class VII SMPN 5 Pasuruan. Result of research indicates that: 1) Ability of class student VII SMPN 5 Pasuruan in writing poem can do improved. The improvement is gratifying. This thing does prove at result of test after action. At phase before student average value cycle only 60, at action of cycle I average value obtained 72,1 mean experiencing enhancer 12,1 or 31,8%. Hereinafter at cycle II student average value increases is even better that is becoming 80,4. Equally experiences improvement 8,3 or 21,8 % if compared to result before all. 2) Result of research of non test through observation, interview, and student journal also shows change which are positive, student is more interests and enthusiastic in study writes poem by using observation technique of object directly so that easy to in writing poem. That thing is proven existence of request some students to repeat study technique which have been executed that is imaginative method.
