Abstract
This research [done/conducted] to reply raised [by] research question that is ( 1) To know type of student mistake in finishing problem of mathematics of direct material of Persamaan Kuadrat [in] class of X SMA Negeri 1 Ambunten sumenep of School year 2008/2009 [at] each mistake category which have been specified. ( 2) To know factorfaktor causing the happening of [done/conducted] [by] mistake [of] student. ( 3) To know items of Persamaan Kuadrat which less be mastered [by] student [of] pursuant to percentage of [done/conducted] [by] mistake type [of] student [of] [at] every problem item. This research [is] dikategorikan in research deskriptifkualitatif emphasizing at case study. This research executed [by] [in] SMA Negeri I Ambunten Sumenep, this subjek research [is] sisasiswi of class of X of Teaching year 2008 – 2009 Metode of data collecting Used in this research [is] method of tes and method interview. Tes given only once that is after forwarding of items of square equation after finishing [in] debate, and interview [done/conducted] to 5 student ( responder) what at most [doing/conducting] mistake. Pursuant to data analysis, simpulan obtained in this research [is] ( 1) student [doing/conducting] mistake in finishing fundamental mathematics problem [of] discussion of square equation [is] 49,2% concept mistake, 3,8 % procedure mistake, 8,3 % technical mistake, and 38,7 % random mistake ( 2) factors of student cause [do/conduct] mistake [is] student less own domination conception [at] direct material of discussion of equation of square and also items prasyaratan, forget or wrong make conclusion, cannot determine step of[is solving of problem correctly, less check in [doing/conducting] quantification, [do] not check in checking or use data, lack of student enthusiasm to mathematics Iesson, student learn mathematics [do] not kontinyu, way of learning unfavourable student, ( 3) items [of] [at] fundamental of discussion of square equation which less be mastered [by] student [of] if seen from [done/conducted] [by] mistake type [of] student [of] [at] every problem item [is] forming perfect square, determining maker [of] zero square function by finishing square equation, finishing story problem [of] related to square equation.
