Abstract

Marriage is something sacred and important because it is the embryo of a family. In marriage, it is necessary adjustment on each pair. On a different pair of culture, the problems that arise far more numerous and more diverse than their different cultures. As a result, the adjustment should be done will be increasingly difficult so that not infrequently will result in divorce. This research is a qualitative descriptive study aimed to describe the problems that arise and ways of marital adjustment is performed on cultural differences partner. Subjects were 3 pairs of husbands and wives of different cultures. To explore the data used in the interview guide and the guided-free interviewing techniques, which are intended for communication exists that is free but directed that seem more supple and flexible. Of the 3 subjects are known problems - problems that arise in the pair is a cultural difference: the problem of language, food, the problem of child marriage, child mengkhitankan loyalty and commitment problems. While the way of communicating the differences - differences that exist in different cultures pair is by talking about the problem to find a solution to the problem. Adjustments are made on a different pair culture is with mutual respect and mutual acceptance of each culture. In addition to learning about each other cultural partners.
