Key Words: PR Lecture, The Students’ Perceptions of Public Relations Profession The lecture of PR is learning about the whole things related to the PR. Started from the definition of PR, PR’s tasks, PR’s works and the purposes of PR. Each of the lectures were 3 SKS and 13 kinds of subjects that the students should took who chose PR department. The PR lectures gave materials and PR practices in order the students could advanced the practices. So far, PR indeed considered negatively and too easy by the assumption that the duty of PR was only lobbying also as a referee between the internal public and the external public, however, on the PR lecture in Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, the curriculum released by the department was quite exchanged the students’ perceptions of PR profession. The statement of the problem in this study was, how big does the PR lecture’s influence to the students’ perceptions of PR profession. The design of the study was using quantitative design, and the significant of the study was to make a description or a view factual systematically and accurate within the facts, characteristics, also the connection between the objects’ phenomena (Moleong, 2000: 13). The technique of collecting the data in this study was using questionnaire, where the questionnaire was spread to the students. The location of the study was around the Communication Science students at sixth semester of Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, while the sample were those who took the PR concentration (Public Relations). The population of this study were 90 people, specifically, they were from the PR concentration of the Communication Science, also have already took 9 subjects. The sampling technique was using Total Sampling. The technique of data analysis inthis study was using Pearson Product Moment: r = Based on the data analysis, it could be concluded that, there was a correlation between the PR lecture and the students’ perceptions of PR profession, that is, there were a correlation about 0.553% and it was categorized into the medium category since it was on the internal scale between 0.40-0.559. This study could be saying that both the variables had significance influence so the researcher suggested to the next researcher to be more paying attention to the other variables that is also influences the perceptions of PR profession, in order that the result of this study could results maximally.
