This research was held on date 11 July – 16 September 2007 at Bolorejo village fish farmer, Kec. Tulungagung East Java and fishing laboratory fishing-farm Faculty Muhammadiyah University of Malang. The goal of this research is to know the effect methiltestosteron hormone to success form male sex to the soak of gouramy egg fish (Osphronemus gouramy) and to find a test dose of methiltestosteron hormone so forming highest male sex kind. The method was been use is experiment method who use Complete Random Design (CRD) with 5 treatment and 3 time examination, first treatment is the giving hormone dose 0 mg/l, second treatment 1 mg/l, third treatment 3 mg/l, fourth treatment 5 mg/l, and treatment 7 mg/l. The result of this research is give a dose which different to the soak gouramy egg fish (Osphronemus gouramy) effect really to the success form male sex and female sex. The best dose for the form male sex gouramy fish from egg phase is dose treatment 1 mg/l which is result 81,667% male gouramy fish and 38,333% female gouramy fish. For highest hatching rate to dose treatment 3 mg/l and 7 mg/l which is amount 99,667% and survival rate highest to dose treatment 3 mg/l which is amount 40,87%. The different giving dose to gouramy egg fish not influence to Hatching Rate/HR or to Survival Rate/SR. this thing can be see from count value F < F table 5 % and 1 %. From quality water parameter, showing that temperature 24-28ºC and pH 7 is best for the hatching gouramy egg fish and for maintenance temperature 22-30ºC, pH 6-7 and Dissolved Oxygen (DO) 4-5 mg/l Based on the research above can be conclude is with dose to soak gouramy egg fish can give highest result and dose not effect to Hatching Rate or to Survival Rate.
