Abstract

Intrapersonal conflict could be happened to everyone include to contract employee. In this case contract employee is given on to choice that disagree with desire but must to choice. In here contract employee is confronted in the situation desire that refer to final situation which wanted during the life but can not fulfill because status of as contract employee or because the other factor. Terminal values orientation is refer to final situation which wanted during the life while intrapersonal conflict is opposition that happened in individual self because given on to two different desire. This research there are two variables that is terminal values orientation as free variables and intrapersonal conflict as tied variables. This research aim to know relation between terminal values orientation and intrapersonal conflict. This research was including quantitative research where the population is contract employee PT. Dinatama Nusa Cemerlang Samarinda that amount 50 people. Sample in this research amount to 50 employee contract by using total sampling technique. Data collecting is done by using two scale that is terminal values orientation scale and intrapersonal conflict scale. While analyse data method which used in this research is correlation of product moment. From research result which have been done by researcher and from data which have been got can be pulled conclusion that there is have positive correlation and signifikan ((r=0.430, P= 0.002)) between terminal values orientation and intrapersonal conflict, that means if terminal values orientation experiencing of increase will follow also by increase to intrapersonal conflict, that also if terminal values orientation experiencing of degradation will follow also by degradation to intrapersonal conflict. As for effective contribution terminal values orientation to intrapersonal conflict variables is equal to 18,4% that could be see from determinant coefficient (r2) equal to 0,184. That means terminal values orientation variables rendering 18,4% to intrapersonal conflict while the rest 81,6% is the other variable that do not include in this research.
