Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to (1) Determine the learning activities of students during the process of problem solving using Polya model is in progress, (2) Determine the creativity of the students on problem-solving methods Polya model, (3) understand the mastery learning students after using the method of problem solving Polya model. This study is descriptive, because it illustrates how the Polya model problem-solving method designed and implemented in the classroom. This research also includes qualitative research because it involves humans as research instrument in measuring, activity, creativity, and mastery learning. To view student activity data analysis was done by analyzing the results of observation or observation sheet, and then to see the creativity of students performed the data analysis to analyze test results with divergent thinking ability. While analyzing the data to see the mastery learning is done by analyzing the results of achievement tests . The results achieved are (1) based on the analysis of observation sheets that have been observed and observer, so he found the percentage of students activities amounted to 65.79% with a good enough category, (2) based on analysis of test results of divergent thinking ability, so he found the percentage of student creativity at 72.43% by category good, (3) from the analysis of achievement test results there are 20 students from 29 or 68.96% of students who otherwise completed by KKM school, and there were 12 of 29 students or 41.37%, which otherwise completely based on standard MONE exhaustiveness.
