This research represent case study at firm air transport of Lion Air with title “Airline Analysis Strategy: Internal and External Study Factor as Base Election of Strategy Operational”. Dynamics growth of Indonesia air transportation sector in this time in turn will bring every airline, with various excellence which on the market, into market atmosphere which is complex progressively and competitive. To be able to stand at bay in emulation of ready business of air transportation service which so tighten these days, hence every air transport firm have to can know its excellence position situation each him, to later then to chosen and apply correct effort strategy, as according to owned excellence position it. From statement above writer lift problems, that is operational strategy is which appropriate to firm air transport of Lion Air. Target which will reach by writer is to analyze influence of environmental factor of company covering internal environment and executed by external company in order to formulation strategy. Research method used by writer is descriptive method. Its research focused at internal environment and external company related to process formulation of operational strategy. After research conducted hence can know that strategy which have been applied by company have precisely, namely strategy of is expense of, but so that can have excellence of competitive compared to other air transport firm, company ought to change strategy become strategy of is quality of. Result of research with Matrix of IFE show number 3,05, matrix of EFE show number 2,3, and analyze diagram SWOT show company reside in I quadrant with the meaning company reside in potential on course to create strategy in consequence mean company have the power of internal to exploit existing opportunity. With existence of a repair conducted by writer at formulation of its company strategy, hence expected can vie with other airline.
