Abstract

As cities have facilities that lack adequate road network, Bumiayu city faced a problem of fairly heavy traffic. In regard to the problems mentioned above, has made efforts to divert traffic flows through the city, with road construction circumference which is expected to solve traffic problems occurred in the City Bumiayu .. The purpose of this paper is to find out how the performance of roads in the city ring road Bumiayu at the time been operating and if it is assumed the ring road has not been operating the road in question is the way Kalierang highway and roadway Dukuhturi and to know the difference in consumption fuel vehicles, in this case the fuel consumption in light vehicles, heavy vehicles and motorcycles on the road now and if it is assumed circumference is not in operation. The method used in this study is based on the method determined by the Directorate General of Highways through the Highway Capacity Manual Indonesia (MKJI) 1997, with the subject of Urban Road and Outer Road City. The opening track Bumiayu circumference to enhance the performance of road urban areas, where for the roadway of a decline in degree of saturation kalierang (DS) = 22.53%, travel time (TT) = 5.96%, to roadway Dukuhturi occur The degree of decrease in saturation (DS) = 17.28%, Travel Time (TT) = 6.46%. Difference vehicle fuel consumption for both conditions are, for Vehicle Light (KR) = 0.035 liters, for Vehicle Weight (KB) = 0.087 liters and for Motorcycles (SM) = 0.026 liters.
