Abstract

The human element in an organization is the main character in the wheels of industry and organization. Therefore, it is also necessary to pay attention to behavior related to organization commitment and the factors that influence it. The balance that emerges between expectation and reality can foster satisfaction with employees and can lead to the creation of commitment within employees. This research aims to determine the effect of job satisfaction on the organizational commitment of coffee shop employees. This research uses quantitative method. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. The subjects in this study were coffee shop employees in Malang city, had worked for more than 3 months and were aged 18-25 years with a total of 118 subjects. The measuring instruments used are the organizational commitment scale and the job satisfaction survey (JSS). The analysis test used a simple linear regression test with results showing that there was a significant positive effect between job satisfaction and organizational commitment of coffee shop employees, job satisfaction contributed an effect of 63,2%. It is hoped that organizations can pay attention to employee satisfaction while working so that employee commitment to the organization can increase.
