Abstract

Electrocardiograph recorder, electrically signal transcription of heart activity, are expensive in Indonesia and mostly developed in another country. And what is more, recording process has to be done in hospital or laboratory. That is the reason for this final task. This instrument consist of 2 block, analog block and digital block. Analog block consist of pre-amp ECG, notch filter, lowpass filter, and highpass filter. Each filter has its own gain so analog block can be sampled by microcontroller. Digital block consist of microcontroller, VDIP module, and USB Flash Drive. Microcontroller use to sampling, processing, and send sampling result to VDIP module which is interface between microcontroller and USB Flash Drive. USB Flash Drive use to record data from microcontroller to USB Flash Drive. Recording result can be see in personal computer using graphic features in Microsoft Excel. Testing result show that ECG recorder has successfully recording ECG signal, but it’s not a medical standard yet, it’s because a lot of noise on recorded ECG result. Output voltage between 0 to 5 volt. QRS cycle can be recorded but P cycle is unseen. Whereas T cycle is too high for normal heart.
