Abstract

This is a study on the addition of aloe vera flour with different dosage toward the level of hematocrite and leucocratic of golden fish blood ( Cyprinus carpio). This study is conducted in Indoor laboratory of Husbandry- Fishery Faculty of University of Muhammadiyah Malang in February until March 2008. This study is aimed at finding out the addition of aloe vera flour as immune stimulant in fish feeding toward the level of hematocrite and leucocratic of Golden fish (Cyprinus carpio). This is also conducted to find out the best dosage of the addition of aloe vera flour in the nutrition of Golden fish (Cyprinus carpio) in terms of its hematocrite and leucocratic level. The method used in this study is Complete Random Sampling (CRS). In this study, the treatment is given into three dosage differences of the Aloe Vera flour addition and one treatment without the addition. The dosages used are: 0 grams of Aloe Vera flour, 5 grams of Aloe Vera flour, 10 grams of Aloe Vera flour and 15 grams of Aloe Vera flour. The addition of aloe vera flour as immune stimulant does not significantly influence the level of hematocrite and leucocratic of Golden fish (Cyprinus carpio)”. The water quality condition of water quality in normal condition with 23.8 degree Celsius until 24 degree Celsius, pH (Acidity level) is about 7.00 -7.30 and the Dissolved Oxygen (DO) is between 6.07 – 7.5. Based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that the addition of ale Vera flour in 10 gram dosage gives the highest level of hematocrite and the addition of 15 gram aloe Vera flour gives the highest level of leucocratic.
