Abstract

Nosel is a light mechanism in a parallel form used to stream water as the direction necessarily to do so and manage the water stream as well. The main function of a Nosel is changing the water pressure into a stream speed used to make the runner go around (http://europa.Eu.int/en/ccommdg17/hydro/layman2 pdf). In the design of Pelton turbine Nosel design make use of the data provided by runner design by Abdus Salam (2007) since the fact shows that the market does not provide the intended bowl as the specification intended does not correlate with the specification designed by Abdus salam (2007) The components of this turbine pelton Nosel are: elbow, Flens, needle, star manual, orifis/ the house of needle, the needle tip, and the controlling mechanism. In the design of this mechanism we need some steps used in some stages starting from determining the size of the pelton used which make use of the data provided to measure any data deal with the information provided there, those relate to the Nosel itself for example measuring the diameter of the Nosel edge, the stream capacity of Nosel edge, the length of Nosel edge, elbow, needle, the amount of water capacity in which the needle length is backwarded until the minimum limit and the measurent used for the length of the elbow, needle and the Nosel head. In terms of its Nosel thickness, it is used based on the high of the rope used to connect the Nosel head and its elbow. The material used for this Nosel is made of yellow combination since we will have smoother product and its machinery is also easier since bronze is softer than the other metal. From the steps suggested then it is expected that the Nosel measurement will be as what we wanted.
