Abstract

This study is concerning about the condition of writing resume skill by the sixth grade student of SDN Girimoyo III Karangploso that still less maximum. The result of observation shows that more students feel difficult in combining the main ideas into a new brief sentence, and the accuracy of EYD. One of cause factors is that the implemented learning method by the teacher in the class tends to use speech method. The problem is how the efforts that they should take to increase writing resume skill by those students in SDN Girimoyo III Karangploso by using STAD model in plan, implementation, and evaluation. The purposes of this study are to increase the students’ skill in resuming such passage by using STAD model. Based on the problems and the purposes of the study, the researcher hopes that this thesis can be useful for teachers, students and other researchers. This study is conducted by using qualitative approach. The design that is implemented in this study is class activity. This study is conducted on the sixth students of SDN Girimoyo III Karangploso, while the subject of this study is the sixth grade students of SDN Girimoyo III Karangploso for about 39 students and teachers of Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia. The data of this study is in the form of teachers’ and students’ attitude in learning process by using STAD model and the result of students’ resume. The data is obtained by the technique of observation, interview, field note, and test. The instruments that are used is interview guide, cassette, tape recorder, digital camera, observation sheet of students’ activity in learning by using STAD model during the process, and exercises too. The collected data has been analyzed by using qualitative method. The analysis techniques that are used are reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. This study is collaborative; the researcher is helped by teachers of Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia. The result of this study shows that by using STAD model the students’ skill in resuming such passage is increase from cycle 1 to the next cycle. The resume written by the students can be better, brief, and clear. The increment of students’ skill in writing has been conducted by implementing effective learning, enjoyable and cooperation.
