Abstract

The research aimed to find out journalist organization culture in Radar Malang Newspaper, to find out the journalist performance of Radar Malang Newspaper, and also find out significant influence of organization culture to the Radar Malang Newspaper. The research benefit for the company, as a suggestion for the company, especially mass media and journalist in creating condussive work-culture so that it could increase the journalist performance in working. Analytical tool used in the research was scale rate and multiple linear regression. Analytical result showed that journalist’s organization culture company in Radar Malang Newspaper consisted on detail, innovation, stability, agressiveness, team orientation, person orientation, and result orientation were strong. Journalist performance at Radar Malang Newspaper consisted of work result achievement as the target wanted, able to give guarantee of the work-result orderly, determined the work success and wisht to do maintenance and repairment to the work-result into high category. Regression analysis result which was done could prove that significant influence of organization culture to the journalist performance at Radar Malang Newspaper. Kinerja wartawan pada Harian Radar Malang pada yang meliputi pencapaian hasil kerja sesuai dengan target yang diinginkan perusahaan, mampu memberikan jaminan atas kerapian hasil kerja menentukan keberhasilan pekerjaan, melaksanakan pekerjaan yang ditunjang dengan tingkat kelengkapan kerja dan selalu memiliki keinginan untuk melakukan pemeliharaan dan perbaikan terhadap hasil kerja masuk dalam kategori tinggi. Hasil analisis regresi yang dilakukan dapat membuktikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja wartawan pada Harian Radar Malang. The writer suggest the company to create harmonic work-condition in the company so that the employee could compete fairly in the company. In order to increase the journalist performance, there hoped that management tried to develop the work-fulfillment in the company. In order to increase the journalist performance there hoped that management always tried to develop the ability owed so that the employee would focus on result as the working technique stated by the company. There hoped that management was alaways to develop organization culture in the company so that it could give maximum support on the activities done by the journalist. Real effort done was by giving support of all the employee creativity in working in the company. Keywords: Organization Culture and Performance
