Abstract

Production cost of apple that more and more increase is caused by pesticide price of disease controller in which more expensive. Isolation of microbe from rhizosfer can be used to overcome pathogen as caused of stem cancer disease of apple by antagonist test. Capability of resistivity is capability value of antagonist to pressure pathogen as caused of stem cancer disease. The aim of this research is to get isolate of potential rhizosfer antagonist microbe to pressure the growth of stem cancer pathogen of apple (Malus sylvestris Mill). The research was conducted in the Agronomy Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, Muhammadiyah University of Malang on September 2008 to January 2009 at the average degree of the room 250 C with humidity 81%. Microbe of isolation yield was tested by examination phase: (1) purification of microbe: (1.a) purification of stem cancer pathogen by observe large of microbe surface during 7 days, (1.b) purification of microbe antagonist as microbe was obtained from rhizosfer, (2) test of antagonistic power: (2.a) test of microbe antagonist with pathogen of stem cancer, (3) calculation of resistivity amount toward pathogen of stem cancer at the seven days after inoculation. Based on research result can be concluded that: (1) Obtained one pathogen as caused of stem cancer disease (Corticium salmonicolor), (2) Obtained 10 (ten) types of microbe antagonist from Batu on the root land of production centre of apple consist of 8 isolate mushroom and 2 isolate bacteria, (3) Sequence of isolate antagonist is able to hamper the growth of pathogen at the test of antagonist start from the biggest are A1, A4, A7, A5, A6, A2, A8, A9 and A10 with in sequence of resistivity 96,61%, 89,84%, 86,35%, 86,32%, 85,69%, 83,58%, 80,02%, 79,43%, 63,36% and 37,68%. The research result of the growth obstacle of pathogen by microbe filoplen indicated that antagonist treatment of microbe has real effect toward the growth obstacle of pathogen (Sartono J.S and Sumarmi, 2009).
