Abstract

industries especially in orange soft drink industry in which sold around us today. Whether it is in the form of juice, packaged beverage or etc.; the work of tool or machine used for squeezing orange this time is by depressing or pressing manually and it is still in small scale. Therefore, it still any difficulties in its usage and it requires more time. It is also ineffective for entrepreneurs who need orange extract with plenty of result. To facilitate in solving the problem above, hence, the writer means to design an appliance and presents it into thesis entitled “The Design of Squeezing Orange Machine”. Tool or squeezing orange machine is designed by huge capacities using roll system as its squeezer and its work is not manually anymore, but moved by electromotor. Its energy is transmitted by electromotor through belt and turn the gear around that the function is to turn the squeezer around in counter clockwise direction. The squeezing happened. The capacities from calculation is 179 kg/hour, by diameter of squeezer roller is 75 mm and length 400 mm. Electromotor needs 0,5 Hp by rotation 1420 rpm.
