Diarrhea is one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality. Infection disease is one of the major causes of pains and mortality on infant and children, especially in developing countries include Indonesia. Even, individual will be more susceptible to infection in the malnutrition condition. Purpose of this research is to know the infection disease pattern on infant in Hospitalization Ward of RSU Kanjuruhan period of JanuaryDecember 2007. Data used in this research is medical record in RSU Kanjuruhan period of JanuaryDecember 2007. Afterward, infection disease pattern on infant data is analyzed by using descriptive statistical method and represented in the form of distribution frequency tables and graphs. The obtained results show that the higher infection disease prevalence on infant periode of JanuaryDecember 2007 is due to diarrhea that is 79.49%. Then, it is followed by ISPA (13.44%), DBD (3.43%), TF (2.85%), TBC (0.69%), and Malaria (0.1%). Infection disease pattern on infant with the highest cases in 2007 is occurred on July (135 cases) and the lowest one is on February (53 cases). The greatest infection disease on infant is caused by diarrhea, 79.49%.The conclusion, which can be drawn, is the malnutrition condition on individual will make him/her more sustainable to infection. On the contrary, infection disease can play role as the trigger of malnutrition due to the decrease of appetite, disorder on digestion process, or the increasing on nutrition needs for immunological process in the body.
