The business world demand every firm to increase productivity suitable with environment dynamic that always change. If firm have a productive human resource, so activity application of firm will process fluently and well. The factors which influence the goal successful of firm that are interaction or communication what influence others among people who establish in firm management. PT. Industri Sandang Nusantara Unit Patal Grati as firm that dominate in wool spinning industry have many competition from others. In competition condition need to notice along with handle seriously problems which be faced especially internal problem. in this condition, firm is demanded to increase motivation and productivity by creating communication strategy which suitable with firm internal condition. The goal of this study is to know what controlling strategy of leader communication give significant influence to motivation in PT. Industri Sandang Nusantara Unit Patal Grati. Strategy of communication controlling is mean as relation or activities which have relevance with relation, or it is mean as idea exchange others. Communication may also be mean contact relation among individual people or group. This study is carried out by using primer and secondary data which be gained from sources which relevance with PT. Industri Sandang Nusantara Unit Patal Grati by using question list which be given to object observed in production sides in PT. Industri Sandang Nusantara Unit Patal Grati Pasuruan by using Proportional Stratified Random Sampling. Data analysis method which be used in this study of simple regression analysis, it is used to test influence among independent variable that controlling strategy of communication to dependent variable is employee motivation. Based on the study result or empiric condition in firm is known that concept of controlling strategy of leader communication consist of strategy of swing carrot, strategy of hang sword, catalyst strategy and twin strategy constitute of factor which decide employee motivation. Based on the result can be able to recommended to PT. Industri Sandang Nusantara Unit Patal Grati Pasuruan that by look that controlling strategy of communication variable swing carrot have influence more dominant to employee motivation, it is better leader in production side of PT. Industri Sandang Nusantara Unit Patal Grati Pasuruan to increase control pattern of communication which more liked by employee.
