Abstract

Work satisfaction is an important thing for employee, since getting work satisfaction where the employee worked is the direction of employee while the employee worked beside to make the employee’s life needs fulfilled. Basically, work satisfaction was really hoped and important thing for the employee, whether employee at industrial manufacture or service organization. With the work satisfaction, the employee would increase his/her achievement and his/her loyality would be higher. That’s why for a company, work satisfaction is an important thing to be paid attention. Satisfying work condition would have greater influence in organization’s performance. Unsatisfaction or low satisfaction in employee would create unwanted behavior. One way to reach work satisfaction itself was by fulfilling the work satisfaction factors. There hoped it would create employee satisfaction and better attitude to work. If the employee was satisfied, he would have positive attitude to the company where he/she worked. Based on the assumption, the writer did a research titled “Analysis of work satisfaction and work achievement of Production Department Employee at PT Mertex Indonesia Mojoanyar Mojokerto”. This research aimed to find out the work satisfaction of production department employee at PT Mertex Indonesia Mojoanyar Mojokerto. According to the equation and research discussion about analysis of work satisfaction and work achievement at Production department of PT Mertex Indonesia Mojoanyar Mojokerto, there could be concluded that the employee were satisfied enough. It concluded from average variable value of work satisfaction for 313.4 which lied in very satisfied scale. It caused by the average score of work achievement variable 285.5 in high scale. According cross tabulation result between respondent characteristic and work satisfaction and work achievement seen from gender, age, education and working time, there could be found satisfied answer and high scale for man, aged 21-30 years, latest education high school with work period 7-9 years.
