Abstract

In daily life, there are many people still interpret and view that entrepreneurship is identical with what entrepreneur have and do. That point of view is not appropriate, because the spirit and attitude of entrepreneurship not belongs to the entrepreneur only but it belongs to people who have creatively thought and innovatively act. To be an entrepreneur is an optional work which has need of mental toughness and bravery. An entrepreneur must have sturdy psychology characteristics to be able to adapt with various challenges which will be faced. Chinese society is a trader society which is descended from generation to generation. While, Sundanese society is a farmer society. The difference between them is the quantity of the people who work in trading field as their occupation. Sundanese society work in many other fields, while Chinese society always descends this work as a tradition to all Chinese generation included the Chinese teenager. The purpose of this research is to find out the entrepreneurship interest difference between Chinese and Sundanese teenager at Tangerang city. In this research, the researcher uses non-experimental research design. The population in this research is Chinese and Sundanese teenager who live in Tangerang city. The sample gathering technique used is sampling purposive technique. And the sample characteristics are Chinese and Sundanese teenager, aged sixteen up to nineteen years old, live in Tangerang city, students of SMAN 4 Tangerang and SMA AGAPE BK-3 Tangerang, interested to deepen entrepreneurship, live with the family who keep their own culture. The kind of data in this research is interval data. While the data analysis technique used is t-test technique. The result of this research shows that there is significance difference of entrepreneurship interest between Chinese and Sundanese teenagers. This is showed by t value of 2.556 and p value of 0.012. Chinese teenagers have mean of 152.52 and Sundanese teenagers have mean of 146.48. It can be defined that the entrepreneurship interest of Chinese teenagers are higher (mean 152.52) than Sundanese teenager (mean 146.48).
