Abstract
Mathematics is very important in life, one of example is the calculation in transaction of merchant at market until the calculation engine language of computer, from something that simple untie that very complex. The mathematics study curriculum at school says that the purpose given the mathematics study is the student able faces condition change in society always bloom to pass practice acts, on the basis of thinking reasonably, rational, critical, accurate, efficient, honest and effective. Perception is process that concern to enter it message or information into the brain, so that human can hold interaction with environment with the sense pentameter. This process that happen when the human cense catches stimulus and assimilation with the previous knowledge. From the various knowledge deference’s that have by individual, so there is perception that different from every individual about mathematics. This purpose of this research is want to know the student perception about mathematics and to know the influences of student perception about mathematics with a result of study mathematics at SMP Muhammadiyah I Malang. The kinds of research have a explanative character, that is of purpose to explanation that variable attach that is the result of student learning is very influence by free variable that is student perception. Even though of approximation that doing with the quantitative model, the population of research are the student of VII and VIII class at SMP Muhammadiyah I Malang, with the commutation 178 student. Events though of the sample in this research with the random, with commutation 75 student. The techniques to gathering the data that use 2 instruments that are, cuisine student’s perception about mathematics and the value in examination. The data that getting and then to analyze simple regression linier with help the computer of SPSS program. The result of the research abvionly that are (1) The student have perception about mathematics basic condition of the personal on the study mathematics that is the student effort to study mathematics with diligent, so that get the good value with a presents 68% (2). From the result of analysis the data there is influence that significant between the students’ perception mathematics with the result study of mathematic. In this case can see based on examination of probabilities, the value of probabilities (p) is 0,310 more big from value alpha ( ) is 0,05. Finally can conduce that the student have perception about mathematics that is, the student have perception about mathematics basic condition of the personal on the study mathematics that is the student effort to study mathematic with diligent. So that get the good value with a presents 68% and there is influence that significance between student perception about mathematics with the result of the study.
