Abstract

This research has title of Analysis of Economy Growth in Magetan Regency , with the purpose to know how economy growth in Magetan Regency is and to identify which sectors that give high contribution to economy growth in Magetan Regency. This research uses data analysis technique in the form of contribution by using secondary data from BPS office of Magetan Regency to spur regional economy growth and it is become a necessity and also the right step that must be developed to able to be used optimally. The used analysis instrument is contribution. It can be seen from the calculation of nine analyzed sectors, agricultural, trade, hotel and restaurant, and service sectors are the higher sectors. From this research result, it can be concluded that there are three sectors, which give highest contribution to economy growth in Magetan Regency during four years successively from 2003-2006. The implication of this research is that the government requires giving more attention to the sectors, which has given high contribution, in order to accelerate economy growth and the same time it can be used as the activator of other sectors, so that it can reach the optimum growth.
